Hey everyone.
It’s Tues. September 23 and while everyone is
running around talking about wide spread panic in the economy and the
end of life as we know it, let's talk about something important. Music,
and real people.
I just spent a very full day with my friend and
director Meiert Avis walking on the streets of Brooklyn shooting a
video for a song from my new album "Scream." The song is called "Ground
Zero."
This was total guerilla style filming. No extras. No food.
No trailer. No lights. No anything but me, the song, a camera and the
people of Brooklyn walking on the streets.
I can't say enough about
how amazing New Yorkers are. I could walk up to anyone in the middle of
filming and they would jump right into the action. Digging on the song.
Dancing. And enjoying life in the moment and the strange things that
happen on the streets of New York. We filmed from sun up to sundown,
eventually attracting a huge crowd partly due to my wife, Vicky, just
being there. (Ever the proud husband). NYC is truly one of the greatest
cities in the world. I can't wait to see the outcome on film.
We
came home last night to a killer response to the airing of the T.V.
Show "One Tree Hill" which featured the title track from "Scream," a
great reaction from old and new fans alike. You can download this song
on Itunes. I am extremely proud of this new album and I look forward to
people hearing it as it was intended by Timbaland and myself from
beginning to end in one shot! It’s a must do. You ain’t heard nothin’
yet!!!! C
